My name is Carol Hernandez and I am an
artist who loves animals. I created this web exhibit of my Cheetah
art to help raise money to help save the Cheetah from extinction.
The Cheetah is the world's fastest land animal and can reach speeds of 70 mph. It is not an aggressive animal, using flight versus fight. The Cheetah is classified as one of the most threatened endangered species. In 1900, more than 100,000 Cheetahs were found in at least 44 countries throughout Africa and Asia. Today the species is extinct from 20 of those countries and only 10,000 animals remain in Africa. 25% of the sale price of each print will be given to the Cheetah Conservation Fund. The purpose of the Cheetah Conservation Fund is to research and implement strategies for cheetah conservation in its natural habitat. |
